My name is Matthew Kutilek as a graduate of The Citadel and a Retired Combat Wounded US Marine, Lieutenant Colonel, I have devoted my entire adult life to leading, defending and serving this great nation. Now I desire to take my proven and tested leadership ability, global experiences, passion and strong Conservative values to the State House in Columbia where I can serve and represent We the People who live in SC State House District 4. Pickens County - where I was married, where we raise our four daughters, where they go to school, where I worship at Church, where my wife serves as a school teacher and where I work as a Project Manager in Manufacturing.

As a strong conservative Christian and as a lifelong student of history and admirer of George Washington and our Founding Fathers, I stand by our God Ordained Founding documents which are grounded upon the inalienable rights – of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - for all people – including the unborn. I support the second amendment, small businesses, limited government, term limits for all levels of government, traditional family values, masculinity, femininity, and the peaceful and patriotic rural American way of life that we enjoy here in the 4th District.
  • I am a strong conservative Christian, Combat Wounded US Marine LtCol (Ret.) and a Project Manager in Manufacturing with 25+ years of proven leadership
  • My priorities, beliefs, and stances on many issues can be found on my clear, informative and transparent website: votematthewkutilek.com. My top priority is to represent, serve and lead the people of the 4th District. I will do everything possible to fix our roads and infrastructure, protect our schools from far-left Marxist intrusion, build our economy thru existing small business and targeted manufacturing growth and protect the scenic Hwy 11 corridor. I will advocate for an elimination of the state income tax, significant reduction of the corporate income tax, and will staunchly oppose any crazy ideas by career politicians to increase taxes.
  • Far too long our complacent and passive career politicians have simply filled the seat, voted the status quo and failed to lead, failed to take charge, failed to stop the anti-American Marxist intrusion into our district, failed to take care of current problems and failed to prepare for the future. We cannot keep electing the same people over and over and over again simply out of convenience and expect a different outcome.
A planned and aggressive fat-left Marxist assault on our nation, state and district with the intent of completely destroying the entire way of life in our Country. Our families, liberties, freedoms, history and rights are all in extreme jeopardy. To defeat Marxism, or any destructive ideology, the people must have strong and courageous elected officials who know who they are, who they represent, are willing to stand firm in core-convictions.

Facilitating well planned, measured and sustainable business growth and economic reform. Reduction of the corporate income tax and complete removal of the individual income tax. Unleash the free market starting with existing business then targeted well suited midsize businesses.

Complete and total school reform.I support school vouchers and true school choice. Reduce the federal and state government involvement as much as possible from education, remove and outlaw the Marxist anti-American dogma from the curriculum, privatize education and provide parents with a full tuition voucher (roughly $15,000-$20,000 per year per child). School choice empowers parents and students to choose what school to attend based off of their needs, desires, career goals, school curriculum, individual study habits, family dynamics etc. Privatization of the school system generates competition which makes schools stronger, provides a better education for all children, and ultimately raises the pay of teachers and administrators.
George Washington. He is our founding father and one of the greatest men in history. Without him we do not have a country.
I've read 30+ books on George Washington. I derive my political philosophy from the Bible, the Founding Documents and our Founding Fathers.
Honesty, integrity, wisdom, leadership, confidence, transparency and courage.
Honesty, integrity, character, transparency, wisdom, determination, courage and actual proven leadership ability.
Impact as many people in the district, state and nation as possible. Return this country to the truths found in our founding documents. Be a light that can be seen and salt that can be tasted.
Ronald Reagan assassination attempt in 1981. I was two years old at the time.
I worked in the area of Landscaping all thru middle-school, high-school and college. The arduous manual labor provided me with life lessons in hard work, physical fitness, responsibility and budgeting.
Mover of Men and Mountains by R.G. LeTourneau ... I read it as a young man and it showed me what is possible with hard work, determination, problem solving, goals, priorities, character etc.
Watching the destruction of this nation while career politicians choose personal gain and prestige over service to country and do nothing to stop it.
Strong working relationship. In this Constitutional Republic there is a very limited, yet important role of the federal government. The primary role is to serve, protect and represent the citizens of this country, especially during dangerous and volatile times. In addition, the federal government should do everything possible to facilitate the actualization of the unalienable rights of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all citizens. More often then not this means reducing the size of government, reducing regulations, reducing taxes, removing arbitrary laws, enforcing existing laws, and unleashing an atmosphere where individual liberties can thrive.
Stop the far-left destructive marxist intrusion into every facet of our life.
Redistricting should be conducted by disinterested group of qualified individuals who answer to the people. Elected officials should play little to no role in redistricting.
