Matthew Lehman (Republican Party) is a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 79. He assumed office in 2008. His current term ends on November 4, 2026.
Lehman (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives to represent District 79. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
On October 6, 2015, Lehman was selected to become the new House majority leader. The position was vacated by former Rep. Jud McMillin (R). Lehman assumed the role in the new legislative session in January 2016.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Matthew S. Lehman was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[6][7]

Lehman won re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 79. Lehman ran unopposed in the May 8 Republican primary and defeated Mike Snyder (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8][9]
2010
Lehman won re-election to the 79th District seat with no opposition. He received 14,327 votes.[10] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
In the May 4th primary, Lehman ran unopposed and received 5,454 votes.[11]

On November 4, 2008, Republican Matthew Lehman won election to the Indiana House of Representatives District 79 receiving 19,559 votes.[12]

Lehman is a member of the 35th Indiana Civil War Re-Enactors, Junior Achievement of Adams County Board, Rotary International and the Swiss Village Retirement Community Board.[13]
