Three of the five seats on the Boone County Schools school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. Division 1 incumbent C. Ed Massey and Division 2 incumbent Maria A. Brown ran unopposed and won re-election to their seats. In Division 3, incumbent Steve Templeton filed for re-election, but he withdrew from the race on August 10, 2016. Newcomer Matthew McIntire was the only other candidate to file for candidacy. He won election to the Division 3 seat.[1]

Funding

McIntire reported no contributions or expenditures to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance as of November 5, 2016.[2]
