Born to a Claymont, Delaware native and a Commercial Fisherman Sea Captain from Atlantic, North Carolina. Matthew Morris comes from an all american family.

He shares a story of redemption. From overcoming drug addiction and the stigma incorporated with being a convicted felon, to his stance on providing resolution for the opioid epidemic, prison reform, and health care.

Matthew Morris presents himself with absolute transparency, accountability and honesty we need in Washington.

From Claymont to Washington, Matthew will continue to fight for the preservation of american civil liberties, bring forth resolution instead of just talking about the problem, and he will always stand firm in what is RIGHT.

  • We WILL end this opioid epidemic.
  • We WILL reform our Judiciary system and our prison.
  • We WILL lower health care costs for ALL Americans.
First and foremost the Opioid Epidemic is at the top of my list of passion. My fight to end it starts from my own personal experiences. Second, prison reform is an absolute must. We have a broken system and I believe it is something that will need to start from the very top. Lastly, I am very passionate about building up our communities and uniting the American people,
Would it be Cliché to say my mother? A woman who has lost three children and a husband. Left to raise her child alone, my mother did everything she could to provide for me. She is a Stage IV Colon Cancer survivor and the absolute toughest woman I know.
Whether it came to working multiple jobs to pay the bills, enforcing discipline at home, or overcoming the difficult challenge of Colon cancer, my mother has prove to be MORE than an inspirational woman.
Sarah Palin, Going Rogue. There has never been a more inspirational book I have ever read. Sarah stood up against corruption at it's finest, but remarkably upheld Alaska's constitution and restored it's natural resources and revenues back to the Alaskan People. She's a role model and figure I will always look up to.
The ability to put their personal beliefs aside and represent the people based on the people's wants and needs.
I have a known reputation in being a passionate individual who never backs down. I always stand firm in what is right, and have stood by the members of my community through the toughest times.

I am not a career politicians and the fact I am genuine about my passions and speak from the heart sets me aside from most of the people who are in this for the wrong reasons.
A man who forever changed the republican party and restored it to it's original creed a party who truly believes in individual freedoms and liberties.
Unfortunately the first historical event that comes to mind is 9/11. We were in high school, English class to be precise. I was 15 and terrified of what was going to happen next. I believe that day forever changed my life and my sense of vulnerability. Even though it happened so long ago, it has, I'm sure like many others, kept me on my toes.
My first job was working retail and I was there for almost 5 years.
Diana Gabaldon's Outlander Series. I could read it over, and over, and over again!

Her writing style is so eloquent, and flows like poetry to the mind. I'm kind of a book snob. I appreciate a good strong artistic flow of verbiage.
I mean Harry Potter obviously.... What's your Patronus? Mine is a Tonkinese Cat, how about yours?
One Man Band, Old Dominion.
Can I say I'm absolutely Smitten about someone? What can I say? He makes me smile
I'm a recovering drug addict. One who has experienced two years of prison and came out on top. You want to talk about a struggle? Try kicking a heroin addiction in a prison where drugs are everywhere and in your face on a daily.
"Embodying the framers' intent to make it uniquely responsive to the will of the people...." I mean, c'mon it's written right there in our constitution.
Absolutely not, a representative's only duty is to adequately represent the constituents of their district. As I plan to do so. ALL the constituents of my district.
The United States' greatest challenge I think is overcoming obstacles in Health Care, Economics, racial disparity, and the overwhelming loss of American Value.
Yes, I would like to be part of the Oversight and Reform, Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress, and energy and commerce committees.
Well, if we had term limits it would put an end to politicians getting rich off of politics. In addition, it would stop a lot of corruption and favoritism in legislation.
Guy Reschenthaler, PA. Guy has taken a stance on prison reform and his fight to reduce recidivism. Guy called upon a bipartisan stance on Prison Reform and I commend him and his abilities to stand firm in his core values while being able to reach across party lines to align the parties and devise a resolution for an issue that is costing tax payers far more money than it should.
A story of an entire community grieving their overwhelming sense of being left behind in the community of Claymont. It was the reason that started my entire political aspirations.

Here an entire community voiced their concerns and sense of being left behind by their legislators. Years of neglect and increased overdoses and crime lead what seemed to be a small little revolution of re-establishing the relationship between community members and their elected officials.
