My name is Matt Nelson, I am 41 years old. I am a Republican, former law enforcement, currently work in the propane industry. I am a father and husband.

Born in Petaluma, California raise in Redwood Valley California. Graduated from Ukiah High School in 1997.

I possess the Common Sense California needs and the Courage to Stand Up and Fight for The People of Assembly District 4 .

My campaign is Your Campaign. The one sided Legislature has controlled the State of California for much too long. We are facing over taxation, dangerous laws, which are being passed either by ballot propositions with manipulative and deceiving wording and State Senate and State Assembly Bills being passed, ruining jobs, water, healthcare etc. All without the approval of the mass constituency.

We need someone with common sense. Someone who will not be subject to influencial compromises. Someone who will not be bought, for example, PG&E paid the current Assembly woman $8800.00 toward her campaign. When she was asked about it, her Exact response (recorded at a townhall was, "I donate to fire departments. I sleep good at night." When in fact, supporting documents prove otherwise. She has donated $100.00 ONCE to South Lake Fire.

We are sick of the lies, the games, the promises which are never kept. Agriculture is suffering, the homeless crisis is overwhelming, the crime rate is rising, due to the manipulative Prop 47 passage. SB54 and AB5 MUST be repealed!
PROP 13 (circa 1978) MUST BE PROTECTED

People want affordability, stability and freedom.

People do not want to sell and leave California. However, they're being forced to.

JOIN ME to
SAVE OUR STATE and to
MAKE CALIFORNIA GOLDEN AGAIN
It hasn't been written yet... we have never faced Socialism inside of the United States before. Namely the Great State of California.

When elected, the pages will begin to write themselves. It will be a book written Of, For and By The People of California.
INTEGRITY.

NEVER VOTE PRESSURED BY PARTY
VOTE BY THE WILL OF THE CONSTITUENTS
BE ACTIVE IN THE REPRESENTED COMMUNITIES
DO NOT MAKE PEOPLE WAIT. ANSWER THEIR CALLS & EMAILS.

BE THERE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO PUT YOU THERE. OTHERWISE, YOU'RE A FRAUD.
I am a proven leader. Those who have worked with me, know I am fair, honest and want the very best for people and animals.

I will not allow political games to be played, which may attempt to silence constituents voices. The Voters WILL be heard, as I Truly Represent them in THEIR SEAT in California's 4th Assembly District.
To do the job the PEOPLE trusted your Word on. TO DO YOUR JOB, by Best Representing those who put you there.

Give your Constituents Voice's a Fighting Chance to be heard in the Capitol.
Pride, Prosperity, Jobs, Health, Dignity, Integrity, Safety.
The Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, January 28, 1986. I was in 2nd grade at Frank Zeek Elementary School in Ukiah Ca. We watched it live, as a class. It was a very important part of history, with school teacher Christa McAuliffe, a female, who was and still is looked upon as a Hero.

Unfortunately, the history we sought, was overcome with sorrow, as we witnessed the space vehicle explode as it was ascending into the Heavens.

President Ronald Reagan's speech, following the tragedy, was one of the most profound and heartfelt, any President has ever given.

For an 8 year old boy, who loved space, always reading about the history of NASAs Space Program, I lost seven heroes that day. Every year since, on the anniversary, I think about where I was, how I felt, how my classmates shared the same hurt, confusion and sadness.

Only to watch another launch in the classroom, in 1988, of the Crew piloting the Space Shuttle Discovery, which renewed our Hope and reinforced our dreams of reaching for the Stars.
I dont have a favorite book. I have many.

Living with the deterioration of our once strong and great State.

More personally, up until the last few years, never feeling I would live to be as good as my late father was. Marc L. Nelson was an incredible human being. I lost him when I was 5 years old. He was and still is, the Spirit in which guides me to bring humanity, strength and love to the people around me.
To help enforce the checks and balances needed, in order to best represent and protect the Citizens of California.
No, I most certainly do Not. In fact, I believe that is why politics has become as corrupt as it is. Government is too big and Way over paid.
Stopping the Socialist overtaking and the undermining of the People of California.

Homeless crisis, Water and Power control, overtaxing, running people and businesses out of California, have all been the results of the current legislative decisions in California.
Absolutely. It's important to have people who also share common sense, to best represent our constituents.

However, using "fake relationships " to push dangerous and or unnecessary taxation, is control over the People.

People of California are to be in Control of the California State Legislature

Assemblymember Melissa Melendez CA-Republican District 67

She is phenomenal!
Right now, the prime focus is on the State Assembly and making our District successful and to lead the way to build a stronger California. Never going to rule out a future roll.
I have many instances that just rushed to mind. I know that only given a limited amount of letter characters to type this response, I cannot name all of them.

I have spoken with a local grocery store owner, who has lost over 200,000 in perishable merchandise in 2019 alone, simply due to the PSPS power shutoffs.

The business owners, who are being shoplifted frequently, by blatant thieves, who know that under Prop 47, the crime is a misdemeanor, unstackable.

Which simply means they can steal $950.00 or less EVERYDAY, and they're ALL misdemeanor citations NOT JAIL TIME. Crime is on a dangerous inline, since the passage of 47 and other current legislative backed bills and voter Propositions, worded to mislead the Voting Public.
