From 2014 to 2023, I lived in Atlanta, GA, working as a Data Analyst. After the normalization of remote work, I left the big city to move to Wamego, near my sister in St. George. The town quickly became my beloved new home. I volunteer at the Wamego Fire Department and the Columbian Theater, became a board member of the Manhattan Jewish Congregation, and perform priceless uncle duties.
  • We must protect farmer's and rancher's rights. We need to establish a Conservation Fund to fight back against noxious weeds, reduce pesticide spray drift, and pass Right to Repair so farmers can fix their own equipment.
  • We must help small towns flourish. We need to expand access to the Kansas Mainstreet Program, bolster local volunteer groups in the KCE program, and revive KAN STEP to aid infrastructure projects.
  • PROMOTE AFFORDABLE LIVING FOR FAMILIES We must promote affordable living for families. We need to implement property tax cuts, copy North Carolina's Medicaid Expansion, and increase childcare options
I am interested in protecting the rights of my farmers & ranchers, helping small towns flourish, and promoting affordable living for families.
I look up to Michael Lind. He is channeling a spirit of American Progressive Populism that has been lost to time.
American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America by Colin Woodard. This book discusses eleven regional yet enduring subcultures that make up America's national culture. We must remember both sides of E pluribus unum (Out of many, one). We Americans are both a single people, and multiple subnations at the same time.
Elected Officials need to exhibit a growth mindset. None of know everything so we must commit ourselves to constant learning and periodically updating our political beliefs when needed.
I practice growth mindset everyday. I will gladly change my position and views when presented with compelling evidence.
Elected officials need to represent his or her district by communicating with the voters. Officials also need to strike the balance between doing what we each think is correct and representing our district.
I want my efforts to lead to the flourishing of the small towns and rural communities of Kansas.
I was 11 when 9/11 happened. I vividly remember everyone's fear as school abruptly shut down that day.
I worked for a FinTech startup called Cardlytics for 5 1/2 years.
Dune
I have never read a more sophisticated work of fiction. Dune blends politics, culture, and religion to make a gripping masterpiece.
The Kinks, "The Village Green Preservation Society"
I am an unique individual so it has taken me a long time to be comfortable under my own skin.
The ideal relationship between governor and state legislature is a balanced state of cooperation and conflict where each party exercises their legitimate levers of power.
Ensuring that the small towns and rural communities in Kansas thrive and not die.
Its mandatory that legislators build relationships with each other, its the only viable method to pass legislation.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt. I aim to convince my constituents that we can use public investment to benefit ordinary people, like how FDR did.
Talking to farmers & ranchers in my district convinced me that the spread of noxious weeds is an issue devasting to my farmers & ranchers, but the state legislature is currently doing nothing about it.
A Jewish man went to buy a hotdog from a Hindu hot dog vendor.

The Jewish man asks, "Make me one with everything"
The Hindu hotdog vendor replied, "I can't do that, but I can make you a hotdog"
The Jewish man pays $5 for this $3 hotdog and asks, "Where is the change?"

The Hindu hotdog vendor responds, "Change? Change comes from within."
Anything involving emergency powers need to be decided on a case by case basis.
I will introduce three bills under the KAN DO framework.

KAN DO Mainstreet - Expand access to the Kansas Mainstreet Program
KAN DO Community - Bolster local volunteer groups in the KCE program

KAN DO Infrastructure - Revive KAN STEP to aid infrastructure projects

There is never enough financial transparency and government accountability in government.
State ballot initiatives are a great method for voters to get things done that their legislators unfortunately oppose. Many states passed Medicaid Expansion by ballot initiative because their state legislators were against.
