Matthew Rodriquez
Matthew Rodriquez is a former acting attorney general of California. Former California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) appointed Rodriquez on March 18, 2021, due to Becerra's resignation upon confirmation as U.S. secretary of health and human services.[1] He left office when Rob Bonta (D) was sworn in as acting attorney general of California.[2]
Biography
Matthew Rodriquez earned a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. Rodriquez's career experience includes working as the chief deputy attorney general of California, the chief assistant attorney general for the Public Rights Division of the California Department of Justice, the secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency, and the senior assistant attorney general and deputy attorney general for the Land Law Section of the California Department of Justice.[1]
