I joined the race to fill a gap I found between the current candidates. As a young American, I find it difficult to see a positive future without demonstrable change, which we will not achieve with the current representation, or the other candidates. I joined to bring a platform that appeals to Alaskans to Washington D.C. - avoiding partisan politics along the way. I proudly graduated from the University of Georgia, majoring in Economics. I have worked professionally in the insurance industry for a decade, and I am proud to have moved to Alaska from Atlanta. I have had a deep love of the frontier for a long time, daydreaming of joining Dick Proenneke on Twin Lakes. I prepared my senior thesis on the Alaskan fishery, which is the main issue for my candidacy.
  • Alaskans face the greatest economic & environmental challenge in modern times today with the ongoing destruction of our oceans by Bottom Trawlers. Trawling Bycatch has stolen millions of pounds of fish from our oceans as waste, decimated the ocean floor, and eliminated subsistence fishing in many communities.

Corporate greed has led to class warfare - taking your ability to provide for yourself, forcing you to purchase their product wrapped in plastic. These billion-dollar corporations prepared floating factories that rip along the floor of the ocean, to sell their catch in international markets.

We must end Bycatch. We will outlaw Bottom Trawling in the United States.
  • Housing has been a driving factor in the ongoing struggle with inflation. Another instance of corporate warfare and never-ending greed, venture capital has taken advantage of their deep pockets to purchase single family homes. This denies our citizens their ability to purchase property, one of the most important factors leading to financial freedom. Additionally, corporations have used software to manipulate high rent prices and create monopolistic pricing for renters. These practices are not indicative of a free market. Regulating who owns single family housing will help alleviate some of these issues. I propose resolution banning corporations from owning single family properties.
  • Our elected leaders have failed every generation of Americans with their flippant dismissal of Social Security's insolvency. Many retirees face a possibility of losing the benefits they have been taxed on for decades, in as little as a decade. This is theft. Younger Americans face the possibility of never receiving the benefit at all. We seem to have an endless supply of tax dollars for foreign wars, but not enough left over to ensure our people are taken care of. We need to refocus on the primary purpose of government - protect the people. I believe Social Security (and all government benefits) should be allowed only to American Citizens. Additionally, revenue streams to refund Social Security will need to be addressed.

Jointhemoose.com - our website. Named after a great Alaskan symbol, and one of the greatest presidents, Teddy Roosevelt who established the Bullmoose Party.
The candidate needs to be passionate and have the energy to fight the causes they stand for. I have no respect for those that turn their back on their constituents when they arrive in Washington D.C.
The only responsibility of the Representative of our state is just that - to represent Alaskans. I am running on an established platform of change of key issues affecting us today. I appeal to all Alaskans for their support and refrain from partisan politics.
9/11 - I recall watching the plane hit the second tower. I was around 7, unsure what going to war meant. I still get goosebumps hearing the President with the bullhorn tell the world that they will hear all of us soon, or his first pitch strike in Yankee stadium following the attacks.
My very first job was a waiter, I lasted one shift. I then transitioned into pet-care, which had better clients!
I do not believe that it is imperative to have experience in government or politics. The fact is, we are in our current state because of politicians with experience. More common citizens should be involved, and I hope to be the spark that changes the status quo.
I support term limits, as well as age limits. I believe five terms as a member of the House, and two as a Senator would allow for the proper turnover to keep an effective government that truly represents the people.
Audit the federal reserve and the pentagon. The amount of government waste while still accumulating debt has reached levels that could not be imagined by our founders.
