Matthew Schuerger
Matthew Schuerger was a member of the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. Schuerger assumed office on February 1, 2016. Schuerger left office on October 16, 2023.
He was appointed to a six-year term on the commission on January 19, 2016, and reappointed in 2022.[1]
Biography
Schuerger is a licensed mechanical and electrical engineer. At the time of his appointment to the public utilities commission, Schuerger was the president of an engineering and management consulting firm called Energy Systems Consulting Services, LLC. He previously served as a technical advisor to the Minnesota Department of Commerce and the United States Department of Energy.[2][3]

Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (2016-2023)
Schuerger was appointed to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission on January 19, 2016, by Governor Mark Dayton. He replaced outgoing commissioner Betsy Wergin, whose term expired on January 4, 2016.[4][2]
