Matthias Kusch (Democratic Party) is a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 1. He assumed office on November 27, 2024. His current term ends on November 3, 2026.
Gov. Joshua Green reappointed Kusch on November 27, 2024 to serve a full two-year term as the State Representative for House District 1. Kusch had been serving since his initial appointment in August 2024 following the passing of Rep. Mark Nakashima.[1]
Biography
Kusch's professional experience includes Hawaii Fire Department battalion chief and coffee and citrus farmer. His political experience includes serving as a chair for the Democratic Party of Hawaii and participating in the Labor, Women’s and Environmental Caucus.[2]
