Maureen Connors was a judge of the Illinois 1st District Appellate Court. She assumed office in 2010. She left office on February 6, 2023.

Connors ran for re-election for judge of the Illinois 1st District Appellate Court. She won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.

Education

Connors received a B.A. in history from Loyola University of Chicago in 1972 and her J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology-Kent College of Law. She was admitted to the Bar in 1979.[1][2]

Career

Connors began her career as a private practice lawyer. She then worked as an assistant general attorney for the Chicago Park District until 1988, when she became an associate judge of the Cook County Circuit Court. She was elected as a circuit judge in 1994 and served in that capacity until her appointment to the appellate court in 2010.[1]

Connors was re-elected to the First District Appellate Court on Nov. 6, 2012. She was unopposed in the March 20, 2012 Democratic primary, as well as the general election, and will replace Mary Jane Theis.[3][4][5]
