Maureen Mahan Copelof was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 113 of the North Carolina House of Representatives.
Biography
Mahan Copelof earned her B.A. in religion from the University of South Carolina in 1974, her M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina in 1978 and her M.S. in political science from Auburn University in 1993. She served as an officer in the United States Navy from 1979 to 2009 (retiring as Captain) with a specialty in electronic communications.[1]

1. Attract well paying jobs so that our young people can stay here and raise a family with dignity. 2. Improve the public education system. We must ensure we are providing our public schools with the resources so that our children have the facilities, the highly trained teachers, the books and technology they need. 3. Health Care. We need to increase competition to reduce health care costs and we need to expand Medicaid so the low income population has health coverage. 4.
