Maureen McKnight was a judge on the Multnomah County Circuit Court in Oregon. She served from 2002 to 2019. The court has jurisdiction over Multnomah County and is located within the 4th Judicial District. McKnight was appointed to the position in 2002 by Gov. John Kitzhaber (D), and was elected to the position later that year. She was re-elected to the court in 2008 and again in 2014.[1][2][3][4][5] She retired on May 31, 2019.[6]

Education

McKnight earned her undergraduate degree in history from the Loyola University of Los Angeles in 1974. She received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1979.[4][5]

Career

Prior to her 2002 appointment to the Multnomah County Circuit Court, McKnight served as the director of the Multnomah County Office of Legal Aid Services of Oregon. She also previously worked for over ten years in the Central Office of Legal Aid.[4][5]
