Max Black (b. July 2, 1936) is a former Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 15B from 1996 to 2012.

Black graduated with his Bachelor's in business administration from the University of Utah in 1962.

In addition to being a Representative, Black is an insurance agent.

Black won re-election to District Seat 15B in 2010 against Libertarian Marvin Gardner. He defeated Mark Patterson in the Republican primary on May 25th by a margin of 2,007 to 1,437. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Republican Max Black won re-election to the Idaho House of Representatives District 15B receiving 54.3% of the vote (8,963 votes), ahead of Democrat Greg Funk who received 40.9% of the vote (6,747 votes) and Libertarian Marvin Gardner who received 4.8% of the vote (788 votes).[3]
