Hello! My name is Max Calfo and I live in Lake St. Louis. I’ve worked at the U.S. Congress for Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio and taught and substitute taught students in the Wentzville and Fort Zumwalt school districts. I’m a member of the Lake St. Louis Ambassadors community service organization and the National Rifle Association (NRA).

I was born in New York City and lived there for the first five years of my life, seeing the Twin Towers every day from my apartment window. I then moved to Connecticut and it was there that September 11th opened my eyes to the country and the world.

In 2009, I realized our national debt would be the defining issue of our times, as no other threat but massive inflation has the potential to completely upend American life. I wanted to go into politics because I believe we need to cut spending in a fair manner, without punishing Americans who’ve lived responsibly, and I have ideas on how we can accomplish that.

In between college and graduate school, I worked for the great Rep. Jim Jordan in Washington and then as a teacher in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Wentzville.

I had wanted to move to the Midwest for years since it represents the American ideal and I made that dream happen. I may not be a Midwesterner by birth, but I am a Midwesterner by choice. I am where I belong.
  • I will stand against the woke agenda and brainwashing in our schools.
  • I will support our police and corrections officers.
  • I will work to eliminate personal property taxes, a form of double taxation.
Debt is the greatest long-term problem we face as a state and as a country. I will help Missouri pay off its $1.3 billion debt WITHOUT RAISING TAXES.
Since childhood, my heroes have been my World War II veteran grandfathers. Their examples instilled in me my sense of patriotism. My paternal grandfather served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater while my maternal grandfather served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater, later going on to serve in the Korean War and Vietnam War as well.
The good politician listens twice as much as he speaks. A strong sense of right and wrong, logical reasoning, enthusiasm, honesty, and intelligence also help distinguish good politicians from bad ones.
