Maximillia Utley
Maximillia Utley is a judge for Position 21 of the Minnesota Fourth Judicial District. She assumed office in 2020. Her current term ends on January 1, 2029.
Utley ran for re-election for the Position 21 judge of the Minnesota Fourth Judicial District. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Utley was appointed to the court on October 2, 2020, by Gov. Tim Walz (D) to replace Theodora Gaïtas.[1]
Education
Utley earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.[1]
Career
Prior to her appointment to the Fourth Judicial District, Utley served as a Senior Assistant Hennepin County Attorney. She has also worked as a judicial clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and taught as an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. [1]
