Maxine A. White is a judge for District I of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She assumed office on February 7, 2020. Her current term ends on July 31, 2027.

White ran for re-election for the District I judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She won in the general election on April 6, 2021.

White was first appointed to the bench in 2020 by Governor Tony Evers (D).[1]

White previously served on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Branch 1, in Wisconsin.[2] White was first appointed to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in 1992 by Governor Tommy Thompson.[3]

White served as the chief judge of Wisconsin's 1st Judicial District from 2015 to 2020.[4]

Education

White earned her B.A. from Alcorn State University in 1973. She later earned her M.A. from the University of Southern California in 1982 and attended Marquette University Law School for her J.D. in 1985.[3]

Wisconsin held local judicial elections in 2017. Forty-eight circuit court seats were up for election on April 4, 2017.
