An effort in Dalton Gardens, Idaho, to recall Mayor Steve Roberge and Councilmembers Denise Lundy, Joe Myers, Jamie Smith and Scott Jordan was initiated in August 2018. The recall election took place on March 12, 2019.[1]
Unofficial vote totals indicate that Roberge, Lundy, and Myers were recalled and Jordan and Smith were retained.

Councilmembers Scott Jordan and Jamie Smith were retained in the election on March 12, 2019. Mayor Steve Roberge and councilmembers Denise Lundy and Joe Myers were recalled.[2]

Recall supporters
The recall effort was organized by a group called Save Dalton Gardens. The group was founded by Dalton Gardens residents Jeff Crandall, Mark Cook, Susan Cook, Peggy Leonard, and Patrick Leonard. Save Dalton Gardens accused the members of the city council of acting illegally when they made a deal to allow a four-home development on a 5-acre meadow at 7079 N. 16th Street.[3]
Recall opponents
Roberge and the city council said they made the deal to prevent a lawsuit filed against the city over strict development codes.[4]

Petitioners were required to submit 311 valid signatures. More than 420 signatures were submitted to the county for verification.[4]
