An effort in Huntington Park, California, to recall Mayor Graciela Ortiz, Vice Mayor Marilyn Sanabria, and City Councilmembers Jhonny Pineda and Karina Macias from their positions were launched in February 2016. The effort did not go to a vote after required documents were not submitted to the city clerk in March 2016.[1]

Recall supporters

Recall organizers sought to remove Ortiz, Sanabria, Pineda, and Macias over conflict-of-interest concerns related to a Metro Transit Services contract. The firm was led by a donor to their previous campaigns. The recall effort was also focused on appointments of friends and family members to advisory committees.[1]
