As of 2024, Fresno had term limits for the position of mayor. Mayors could serve two consecutive four-year terms and could run again after a four year break.

Ballotpedia contacted El Paso Mayor Renard Johnson's campaign in December to inquire about his party affiliation and had not yet received a reply.
