Bryan Calvo defeated Jesús Tundidor, and incumbent Jackie Garcia-Roves, and two other candidates in the primary election for mayor of Hialeah, Florida on November 4, 2025. A general election was scheduled for December 9, 2025, but was canceled after Calvo received a majority of the vote, winning the election outright.

Calvo was a former member of the Hialeah City Council. His other career experience included being an attorney. Calvo also interned at the White House during Donald Trump's (R) first presidency.[1] Calvo completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey. In his response he wrote, "I’m committed to lowering taxes, eliminating wasteful spending, fixing our broken public transportation system, and creating task forces to crack down on condominium corruption and money laundering tied to foreign interests."

Tundidor was a member of the Hialeah City Council. His career experience included working in healthcare and being on the Senior Management Team for a Florida Medicaid Managed Care Plan.[2] Tundidor's campaign website said his priorities included reducing government waste, public safety, and fiscal responsibility. In video posted on his campaign website, Tundidor said, "As your conservative voice on the city council I have always opposed tax and fee increases and now residents need additional property tax cuts. I have kept my promises before and I will do it again."[3]

Garcia-Roves was the interim mayor. Her camaign website said, "I’m committed to a municipal government that delivers on quality services, does not raise taxes and governs with utmost transparency and integrity. That’s why I’m now running to continue serving as your Mayor."[4]

Hialeah city council races were still held on December 9, 2025.[5] The filing deadline for this election was July 28, 2025. As of 2025, Hialeah has term limits for the position of mayor. Mayors can serve two consecutive four-year terms and can run again after a four year break.
