Mayra Gonzalez ran for election to the Chicago City Council to represent Ward 35 in Illinois. Gonzalez was disqualified from the general election scheduled on February 26, 2019.
Gonzalez was disqualified by the Board of Election Commissioners for the City of Chicago from the February 26th, 2019 elections for the Office of Alderman 35th Ward. The board ruled she had failed to provide the correct version of the Statement of Economic Interests form with her Candidate Nomination Papers.[1]
