McKenzie Snow
McKenzie Snow is the Iowa Director of Education. She assumed office on June 26, 2023. Her current term ends on June 26, 2027.
Governor Kim Reynolds (R) appointed Snow to Iowa Director of Education on June 22, 2023 to replace Chad Aldis (nonpartisan).[1]
Biography
Prior to appointment as Iowa Director of Education, Snow served as Deputy Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Snow has also served as a Special Assistant to the President at the White House Domestic Policy Council, Senior Adviser at the Office of Management and Budget, and Policy Director at the U.S. Department of Education. She also taught remedial courses at the University of the Free State in South Africa. [1]
