The following quote comes from Heryet's campaign website[1]
My political philosophy is based on the conservative values of limited government and maximum personal liberty. As your assemblywoman, my priorities will be minimizing the state’s role in local education and business and standing up for Nevada’s state sovereignty.
She also voices support for increased transparency and revenue-neutral diversification of the tax base.[2]
Elections
2015
The city of Las Vegas, Nevada, was initially scheduled to hold elections for mayor and city council on June 2, 2015. A primary election took place on April 7, 2015.[3] Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary election, the general election was called off. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015.[4] Three of the six city council seats were up for election.
In the primary election for Ward 3, incumbent Bob Coffin defeated Hart Fleischhauer, Alicia G. Herrera, Megan Heryet, Eric Krattiger and Carlo "Humane" Poliak.[5][6]
