I'm a WV native, former teacher, foster and adoptive parent, disability advocate, and small-business owner running to serve children and families, protect educational choice and parents' rights, and help build a WV our children want to come home to.
  • Putting Families First: Strong families build strong communities. Government should support parents not replace them and respect their right to make the best choices for their children. We will achieve this by reducing regulations that interfere with parents' ability to raise and educate their children, supporting policies that strengthen families instead of replacing them with bureaucracy, ensuring family voices are heard before new mandates are passed. We will tackle the plight of children in the foster care and adoptive system head on, and ensure that mental health resources are available to strengthen all WV children and families.
  • Educational Freedom and School Choice: Every child learns differently. Families deserve real options without politicians pulling the rug out from under them. Families should be able to choose from public, private, charter, homeschool, and micro schools without interference. We will do this by protecting and strengthening school choice programs like HOPE Scholarship so families are not trapped by location, defending funding promises already made to families using alternative educational options, and supporting teachers by expanding opportunities to teach in charter, private, and micro schools.
  • Standing Up for the Disabled: Accessibility is not optional. From working handicap buttons to safe public spaces, WV must do better for people with disabilities, senior citizens, veterans, and those who serve and care for them. We will do this by enforcing existing accessibility laws so ramps, doors, sidewalks, and parking actually work for everyone who relies on them, including people with disabilities, seniors, and veterans in planning decisions that affect public access in community spaces , pushing for practical real-world solutions that improve daily life instead of symbolic legislation that looks good on paper, but changes nothing.
education, disability rights, and putting kids and families first
