Megan Walseth Decker is a member of the Oregon Public Utility Commission. Decker assumed office on April 1, 2017. Decker's term ended on March 31, 2025.

Decker was appointed chair of the commission in April 2018.[1] The position is nonpartian but Walseth Decker identifies as part of the Democratic Party.

Gov. Brown reappointed Decker to an additional four-year term in February 2021. The Oregon State Senate confirmed the reappointment on March 4, 2021.[2]

Walseth Decker previously worked as an associate for the Portland-based law firm Ball Janik and, later, as the chief counsel of the Renewable Northwest Project. She is also a former chair of the NW Energy Coalition.[3][4][5]

In October 2015, Walseth Decker transitioned to the role of assistant general counsel for the Port of Portland, where she remained until she joined the Oregon Public Utility Commission in April 2017.[3][4]
