Meigs County Library Levy Addition (March 2012)
A Meigs County Library Levy Addition measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in Meigs County.
The measure was approved
- YES 3,556 (63.7%)
- NO 2,026 (36.3%)[1]
This measure sought to add to the current county levy by a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to pay for current expenses of the county library district.[2] At current market value in the county, a home at market value of $100,000 would end up paying $32 a year in additional property taxes.

An additional tax for the benefit of Meigs County District Public Library for the purpose of Current Expenses at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ten cents ($0.10) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
