I have been an attorney in Lucas County for 16 years, focusing my practice on criminal, family, and juvenile law. I have handled cases in all the counties throughout Northwest Ohio, and I understand the importance of a fair trial. I have always worked to assure that the rule of law is followed without bias toward anyone and with fairness for all. I have represented clients from all walks of life, and have represented court-appointed clients in multiple jurisdictions. Through this work, I have learned to appreciate people where they sit. I have worked with clients from every city and town in Lucas County. I have been married for 34 years, and I am the mother of two daughters, I have dedicated herself to making our community a better and safer place to live through my volunteer activities, my charitable work, and my legal practice.
  • The laws of the state and the country need to be applied fairly to all people,
  • Justice delayed is justice denied.
  • Courts need to respect individuals in order for individuals to respect the courts.
Indigent Defense: I believe strongly that indigent defendants deserve strong, capable, and unbiased representation. Our adversarial legal system succeeds best when opponents are equally matched in skills and resources. Our judges must serve as the balance between the two sides without prejudice or bias to either.
Accessibility: I believe strongly that all individuals, regardless of their physical or intellectual challenges, must have equal access to the court system. In practice, this means that the courts must work to make sure that all not only can be physically present but also intellectualyl present, with full understanding of the proceedings and procedures.
