Melanie Goodwin
Melanie Goodwin (b. July 22, 1970) was a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. She represented District 66 from 2005-2010.
Goodwin received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1992. She earned her law degree from Campbell University in 2000. She was an attorney.
Goodwin passed away from breast cancer on September 1, 2020.[1]

Goodwin initially declared for election and won the Democratic primary on May 4. However, she dropped out and chose to vacate her seat.[2]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Goodwin won re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives.[3] $32,613 was raised for this campaign.[4] She ran unopposed.
