Melinda Romero Donnelly was a member of the U.S. Senate shadow delegates, Puerto Rico, representing Puerto Rico. She assumed office on July 1, 2021. She left office on December 31, 2024.

Romero Donnelly ran in a special election to the U.S. Senate shadow delegates, Puerto Rico to represent Puerto Rico. She won in the special general election on May 16, 2021.

Romero Donnelly served in the Puerto Rico Senate from 2009 to 2012. She also served in the Puerto Rico House of Representatives from 1997 to 2004.^[1]

Biography

Melinda Romero Donnelly earned a bachelor's and master's degree from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. Donnelly's career experience includes working for the Puerto Rico Department of Public Safety and as a senior reporter for Caribbean Business.^[1]
