Melissa Bedell (also known as Missy) was a member of the Ohio State Board of Education. Bedell left office on December 31, 2024.

Bedell was appointed to the position on April 6, 2022, by Gov. Mike DeWine (R).[1]

Biography

Melissa Bedell was born in Hamilton, Ohio, and lives in Columbus, Ohio. Bedell graduated from Hamilton High School. She earned degrees from Wittenberg University and the University of Dayton School of Law. Bedell's career experience includes working as a lawyer with the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office. She served as the president of the board of Columbus Montessori Education Center.[2]
