Melissa Souto

Melissa Souto is a judge of the Eighteenth Circuit Court in Seminole County, Florida. She was appointed by Governor Rick Scott (R) on October 2, 2015, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Linda Schoonover.[1]
Education
Souto received a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida and a J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.[1]
Career
At the time of her judicial appointment, Souto served as general counsel at the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. She was previously an attorney at the Law Office of Sherman and Souto and was an assistant state attorney in 2001.[1]
