Robinson's professional experience includes working as a shift supervisor at General Motors, network administrator at SBC Communications, and employee at Century Link Corporation. She earned her B.A. in humanities from Michigan State University in 1994.

Robinson ran for State Senate District 12. She defeated Maria Mabbutt in the May 15 Democratic primary and was defeated by Todd Lakey (R) in the November 6 general election.[1][2][3]

Robinson was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 12 of the Idaho State Senate. She was unopposed in the primary on May 25th. She lost to Republican incumbent Gary Collins in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4]
