I am originally from Asheville and have lived in the Sandhills area for 23 years. I received my undergraduate degree in Political Science and Public Administration from UNC-Pembroke. I also have a Master of Public Administration degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. I am a conservative Christian and also a former small business owner. I believe in community service and civic engagement as the two keys to solving problems in our counties and municipalities. I am a facilitative leader who believes in working together with others to come up with creative solutions to big problems. My main areas of interest include education, animal welfare, and economic development.
  • New leadership is needed to improve education, reduce crime, and increase economic opportunities in District 48.
  • We need creative solutions to helping all kids succeed in school. These solutions include school choice, tutoring programs, and mentorships.
  • Quality of life goes hand in hand with economic development. We must address our quality of life issues if we ever want a better economy.
