The city of Jacksonville, Florida, held elections for mayor and city council on May 19, 2015. A primary took place on March 24, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 16, 2015. All 19 city council seats were up for election.[1]

In the primary election for District 1, Mike Anania (R) and Joyce Morgan (D) advanced past Eddie Christian (R) and Melody Shacter (D). Anania and Morgan faced off in the general election on May 19, 2015.[2] Morgan was the winner.[3] Incumbent Clay Yarborough (R) was ineligible to run for re-election due to term limits.[4]
