Melody Walker, formerly Melody S. Brooks, is a judge for the Cleburne County District Court in Alabama. She unseated incumbent Judge Glea Sarrell in the primary on June 3, 2014. She took office on January 19, 2015, for a term that expired on January 17, 2021.[1][2]

Walker ran for election to the Cleburne County District Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 3rd, 2014, receiving 52.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Judge Glea Sarrell.
General: She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [2][3][1] 

Education

Walker earned her undergraduate degree from Birmingham-Southern College in 1989 and her J.D. from Birmingham School of Law in 1993.[4][5]

Career

Walker was currently an attorney in private practice. She served as a judge for the Ranburne Municipal Court from 2002 to 2015.[4]
