Hendricks was defeated in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 31. He ran unopposed in the primary on August 2, 2011. Incumbent Terry Burton defeated challenger Tad Cambell in the Republican primary. Hendricks lost to Burton in the general election on November 8, 2011.[1]
