Melvin R. Hughes, Jr.
Melvin R. Hughes, Jr. is a judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Virginia.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Charles S. Robb in August 1984.[2]
Education
Hughes received his undergraduate degree from Hampton University and his J.D. from the Howard University School of Law.[3]
Career
Before he joined the 13th Judicial Circuit, Hughes served as a district court judge for the 13th Judicial District Court. He was also previously a partner at the law firm of Chambliss, Cunningham, Hughes and MacBeth.
