Melvin Whittenburg
Melvin Whittenburg (Democratic Party) ran for election for South Carolina Secretary of State. He lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Whittenburg was born on April 18, 1962, in Columbia, South Carolina. He received a B.S. from East Carolina University, an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix, and an M.A. from Georgetown University. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a Major. Whittenburg then worked for ExxonMobil, retiring in 2017.[1]
