General: She defeated Jerry Anthony Armijo in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 54.5 percent of the vote. [1]

Murphy received her J.D. from Oklahoma City University.[2]

Career

Murphy was a deputy district attorney in the 7th District for 12 years. She was also a member of the drug court team in Sierra County and the DWI Planning Council.[2]
