Biography

Mia Mundy was born in Hannibal, Missouri. She received a bachelor's degree from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2005 and a graduate degree from Sam Houston State University in 2012. Mundy's professional experience includes working as a talent acquisition specialist. She has been associated with the Texas Organizing Project, Lambda NextGen Houston, The GLBT Caucus, and Holy Family HTX.[1]

Mia joined Manhattan Resources in 2017 as an experienced Talent Acquisition and Staffing professional. Before entering the Executive Search space, she applied her keen business acumen and sense of urgency to recruiting in the Educational Technology, Real Estate, and Property Management industries.

Mia's hands-on experience in these areas provides a depth of commercial understanding that allows her to quickly understand her clients' key business drivers and positions her to promptly help them build high-performance teams that will grow with the organization and help them accomplish their goals. My first job was as a Crew Member for Taco Bell. I worked at Taco Bell while I was in High School through College. So all in all I was with Taco Bell for 8 years.

I think a history of service and volunteer leadership is most vital to governing well. You can learn government and politics but to truly care and to operate in a manner that truly puts others first is best learned in roles that are focused on the service of others only.

I have run for office before and have been encouraged to continue to run. I desire to remain a constituent first that is beholden only to the people I serve.
