Campaign themes

2016

The following issues were listed on Beebe's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • The Economy: We live in a truly amazing country. The entrepreneurial spirit of this great nation is just unbelievable. It is the private sector that creates jobs, not the government. It is the private sector that brings innovation, not the government. It is time the government got out of the way of the people, and allowed them to do what they do best!
  • Tax Reform: The tax system is long overdue for a major overhaul. What the American people need is a flat tax system so there are no surprises, no loopholes, and a level playing field for all. Every American should have to pay the same tax percentage rate as their neighbors, managers, and CEO's.
  • Border Security & Sanctuary Cities: It is quite obvious to every American that our immigration system is broken. There are a series of steps that have to be taken to get this issue under control.
  • Gun Violence & Mental Health: The second amendment affords every American the right to keep and bear arms. This right can never be taken away. On a regular basis, we see mass shooting after mass shooting. This is a terrible tragedy. For the left to continually blame the problem of violence and mass shootings on guns and gun manufacturers, just shows that they do not understand the real issues we are facing.
