refreshing blend of tradition and innovation.
With a career as an Accredited Financial Counselor and Transition Career Counselor for the Army Transition Assistance Program, Micah understands the importance of ensuring our Veterans and their families have the resources they need to have success after service. Through his dynamic seminars and personalized counseling sessions, he empowers veterans to navigate the complexities of their fiscal landscapes.
Micah has previously served this community as Ward 1's devoted City Councilman. His tenure displayed his unwavering commitment to a safer, more efficient, more delightful Glennville. He also served on the Georgia Municipal Association’s District 9 Board of Directors and held the position of First Vice President. Micah’s dedication to his community shows in his role as Youth and Young Adult Minister at the Abundant Life Apostolic Church of the Living God, an advocate for change through the Tattnall NAACP, and service on the South Tattnall Elementary School and South Tattnall Middle School Council.- Georgia ranked second in family farms
filing bankruptcy in 2025. In District 157, agriculture drives the economy. Family farms are vitally important to the success and health of our district. Georgia farmers have suffered from increasing operational costs, high inflation, and low commodity prices. We must seek legislation to ensure that our farmers, both small and large, are able to continue to supply us with food while
operating in the black. - It’s not a secret – costs are increasing. With a family of six, I understand first hand the impacts of inflation on working class families. We can’t wait for Washington to function properly while families in our own state suffer. Families need relief that makes sense. Relief that will be impactful and shore up the present while creating a better future. We have the power at the state level to provide that relief. I will fight for working class families and our future.
- We wouldn’t be rural Georgia without a vibrant environment for hunting and fishing. While costs are rising, it is becoming increasingly important to be able to “live off the land.” My parents always taught me that as long as I can fish and hunt, or know someone who can, I’ll never go hungry. Our region has become a prime target for increased real estate developments, huge manufacturing sites, and potentially large data centers. All of these can impact our environment in negative ways. I am not against growth or job creation, but it must be done in a way that gives while it takes, preserves while it creates progress, and protects while it prospers.
Community Support
More access to Out of School
Time/After School programs and
activities in Rural Georgia. Children in
rural Georgia often lack the resources
during out of school hours to solidify the
results of the effort put in by their
teachers everyday. Adequate
programming would provide not only
that, but a safe, fun, and clean
environment for kids to increase
learning in school subjects, hobbies, and
life skills. It could provide a meal that
some kids may not get otherwise, and
the mentorship that some kids need. It
could also provide connection to a
community that many struggle to attain
