Michael A. MacDonald is a superior court judge for the Fourth Judicial District in Fairbanks, Alaska. MacDonald was appointed on June 1, 2007, by Governor Sarah Palin (R). MacDonald was retained for a six-year term in 2010. He the retention election on November 8, 2016.

Chief Justice Dana Fabe named MacDonald as the presiding judge for 4th District for the 2013 calendar year.[1]

Education

Judge MacDonald attended Harvard University to earn his Bachelor of Arts in government in 1978 and the University of New Mexico for his J.D. 1988.[2][3]

Career

MacDonald worked with MacDonald & Levengood from 1985 until his appointment to the superior court in 2007.[3]

MacDonald was retained in 2010.[4] The Alaska Judicial Council supported his retention.[5][6] He is up for retention again in 2016.
