One of the five seats on the York County School Division school board in Virginia was up for nonpartisan special election to a two-year term on November 7, 2017. Michael Anderson defeated Nathan Kaw-uh.[1] The special election was required due to the resignation of Cindy Kirschke, who represented District 2. She left the position in June 2017 when she moved out of the school district.[2]
