I’m Michael G. Bannon Jr., a devoted husband, father of two boys, and lifelong resident of Delaware County. I’m running as a write-in candidate for State Representative in Pennsylvania's 159th District because our community deserves a representative who truly listens and fights for our needs. Living in Eddystone and formerly in Upper Chichester, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our community faces, and I’m committed to making it a better place for all families.

With nearly 25 years of volunteer service as a life member of the Upper Chichester Fire Company, I’ve dedicated my life to serving our community. My campaign is focused on creating jobs and boosting our local economy by utilizing our riverfronts and supporting small businesses. I’m a strong advocate for safe communities, backing law enforcement, and ensuring district attorneys prosecute criminals instead of releasing them. I also prioritize mental health care as essential to our overall well-being and support expanding access, including allowing qualified psychologists prescription authority to better serve those in need.

I’ve successfully passed bills to support first responders and enhance government transparency. As a write-in candidate, I’m not backed by political insiders—my only allegiance is to the people of the 159th District. Together, we can send a message to Harrisburg that it’s time for real representation that puts people over politics.
  • Business and job creation As your State Representative, I’m committed to boosting economic growth and creating jobs in our community. By tapping into our riverfronts and supporting small businesses, we can attract new industries and opportunities to our district. I’ll advocate for policies that cut red tape, reduce taxes, and provide incentives for businesses to grow and hire locally. Together, we can build a thriving local economy that provides good-paying jobs and a brighter future for all. Let’s make our district a place where businesses thrive and families prosper!
  • Our first responders are the backbone of our community, putting their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. As your State Representative, I’m committed to ensuring they have the resources, support, and respect they deserve. I’ve already presented and passed bills aimed at enhancing funding, training, and mental health resources for our firefighters, police officers, and EMS workers. I’ll continue to fight for legislation that prioritizes their safety, well-being, and the tools they need to do their jobs effectively. Our first responders are always there for us—it's time we stand up for them!
  • Access to mental health care should be timely and effective, but long waits for medication can be a major barrier. That’s why I support expanding prescription authority to qualified psychologists. By allowing trained psychologists to prescribe medication, we can improve access to comprehensive mental health treatment, especially in underserved areas where psychiatrists are in short supply. This change would reduce wait times, provide more integrated care, and ensure patients receive the help they need, when they need it. Let’s empower our mental health professionals to better serve our community!
my public policy priorities focus on economic growth, public safety, and supporting first responders and mental health care. I’m committed to boosting our local economy and creating jobs by supporting small businesses and utilizing our riverfronts. Ensuring safe communities is also a top priority, which is why I back law enforcement and advocate for district attorneys who will prosecute criminals and uphold the law. Additionally, I’m dedicated to expanding mental health care access and enhancing resources for our first responders, making sure they have the support they need to keep our community strong and safe
I feel like I can relate to my community very well , and I feel i can do what is best for the people
All relationships should be professional, to do what is best for the people that they represent
A bill to provide psychologists prescription authorization
The people should know what their representatives vote on- to ensure they are actually being represented
