Michael J. Beale is a judge for the 42nd Circuit Court in Midland County, Michigan. He was appointed to the court by former Governor Jennifer Granholm on October 23, 2007, to replace retired Judge Paul Clulo. Beale assumed office on December 3, 2007, and was elected to the court on November 4, 2008, and re-elected on November 4, 2014.[1][2][3][4]

Education
Beale received his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1986 and his J.D. degree from the University of Detroit Law School in 1990.[2]
Career
Beale began his career in 1990 as a judicial law clerk for Michigan Supreme Court Justice James Brickley. Two years later, he became an associate attorney with the Detroit law firm of Plunket & Cooney, PC, where he worked until 1995. Beale then practiced with the Midland firm of Handlon, Eastman, DeWitt & Beale until his appointment to the 42nd Circuit Court in 2007.[1][2]
