Michael L. "Mike" Binyon was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 27 of the Utah State Senate.

  • Excerpt: "I am a strong believer in the rights of Unions to organize; in protecting our air, water and public lands; in the rights of all members of the public to be treated fairly and equally; and the right of women to have choices. I think that the Utah State Legislature should increase funding for Education and keep their hands off of personal and family decisions."

Binyon ran for election in the 2012 election for Utah State Senate District 27. Binyon was unopposed in the June 26 Democratic primary and was defeated by incumbent David Hinkins (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
