Michael Bitney is a judge for the Barron County Circuit Court in Wisconsin.[1] He was appointed by Governor Scott Walker on July 11, 2013 to replace Timothy Doyle.[2] In 2014 he ran for election to the Barron County Circuit Court and was elected to a term that will expire in 2020.[3]

Bitney received a B.A. from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, going on to earn his J.D. there as well.[5]

Career

From 1993 until his judicial appointment in 2013, Bitney served Washburn County as a district attorney. Before that, he practiced general civil law and criminal law with Bitney Law Firm.[5]
