Michael Caljouw
Michael Caljouw is the Massachusetts Commissioner of Insurance. He assumed office on November 4, 2024. His current term ends on January 7, 2027.
Gov. Maura Healey (D) appointed Caljouw Massachusetts Commissioner of Insurance on October 2, 2024 to replace Gary Anderson. [1]
Biography
Prior to being appointed Massachusetts Commissioner of Insurance, Caljouw served as Senior Director, Public Government and Regulatory Affairs and Vice President, State and Federal Government and Regulatory Affairs with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts from 2008 to 2024. He also served as general counsel for the Massachusetts Division of Insurance from 1997 to 2001, and Deputy Director, Chief of Staff and General Counsel for the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business from 2001 to 2005.
